In recent years, with the development of world shipping industry, the requirement of shipbuilding industry, shipbuilding quality and the ship’s navigation performance are increasing. To improve propulsive efficiency, more and more ships equipped with controllable pitch propellers (CPP). Experts all of the world in the field are also committed to the controllable pitch propeller research.The design of CPP experienced the method of identification technical difficulty, the load factor method, and now commonly used finite element method. In various parts of the CPP structure interaction stress magnitude and distribution in the structural design process using the finite element method to swap pitch propeller, improve product performance and reliability has great value.Currently, foreign CPP manufacturer are using finite element analysis method to design controllable pitch propeller. Controllable Pitch Propeller development process For saving a lot of artificial duplication, reducing human error and improving research and development efficiency, to enhance domestic controllable pitch propeller research and development and production units competitiveness, in the analysis of the main components of the controllable pitch propeller, the structural principle and work characteristics, research CAD/CAE integration technology based on the combination of the finite element method to swap from the device structure design done in-depth research, the use of UG secondary development of three-dimensional modeling, from the device to complete the swap limited by ANSYS parametric design language element automatically Analysis by of VB.NET with more than two software interface to achieve the development of integrated design software, and controllable-pitch devices integrated development instance software. The specific contents are as follows:(1) Analysis of controllable pitch propeller device operation mechanism to determine the various components of the device components and their respective functions, and to determine the design parameters of the controllable pitch propeller;(2) Research UG secondary development method for software modeling, parametric modeling CAD software; (3) Research the theory of stress field of controllable pitch propeller with finite element analysis, calculating the hub structure of controllable pitch propeller. With a structure prototype, analyze the relationship between the main technical indicators and the structure of controllable pitch propeller, and provide the basis for the standardized selection;(4) Study of software development methodologies based on ANSYS Parametric Design Language, the tone from the device finite element analysis simulation method;(5) By the development platform of VB.NET, research the data interface between the platform and the UG, ANSYS to achieve integrated user interface control in VB.NET for UG Modeling and ANSYS analysis so that completed controllable pitch device integration system software development.
