| Waterway transport, as the fundamental industry of national economy, takes a very important part in the comprehensive transportation system. The fairway as the transport hub of navigation waterway is the indispensable part of port. The trend of largescale ships puts forward new requirements to harbor width and depth, harbor scale gradually becomes the key factors of restricting port development. With the appearance of the fourth and fifth container ships and large tanker, bulk carrier, it requires harbor width and depth to be expanding.Based on the Design Code of General Layout for Sea Port and the Technical Standards of Harbor Facilities and Explanations, this paper introduces the algorithms of the fairway design width (single, double) in China standard and Japan standard. According to the calculation, this paper selects the three main ship bulk, tanker and container ship, as research ship, and takes a theory calculation in China and Japan fairway design width by using the related algorithm and calculates results, and do the numerical comparisons in China and Japan standards fairway design width, According to the calculation results, use the Origin mathematical software rendering contrast figures, so that have the comparative studies more intuitively from the figures of China and Japan standards fairway design width. Through comparative studies, this paper concludes the differences in fairway design width between China and Japan, and draws the relevant conclusions, and analyses them. According to the comparative analysis of the relationship quantity causing such differences in China and Japan, find the influencing factors of the differences.This paper also comprehensively analysises and compares the difference of Japanese standards and Chinese standards from each factor of affectting our channel design width, and puts forward relevant references to our shipping departments and relevant maritime research institutions to modify and improve fairway regulations. Based on the analysis of the standards, the paper considering the actual situation of the port channel and strategic goals of future emerging port, gives decision making for the fairway of meeting the requirements of large vessels access to the ports, to realize the rapid stable and sustainable development of our port-shipping industry. |
