The current air compressor control frequently uses the conventional relay electricity control system, the intelligent MCU control system or control system with the small programmable controller.From the view of practical operation, the breakdown of the conventional relay electricity control system is unable eliminated because of electrical equipment aging, lines chaotic chain,complex instrumentation systems, complex and difficult equipment management and higher technical demanding. The air compressor body equipment of the intelligent MCU control system and the small programmable controller usually runs well, but the control system failures continue, the internal control procedures prone to chaos and can not operate steadily; In addition, the current air compressor usually can not provide a variety of communication interfaces and is not easy to interconnect with other systems.In order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the air compressor system,the air compressor PLC control system is used, which fully use the programmable controller to adapt to a variety of adverse site conditions.The system can easily install and maintent, has higher anti-interference ability, offers a variety of stable and reliable mode of communication features,and significantly improve the reliability, stability, and information technology,and completely meets the on-site use requirements.This article studies the structure of the air compressor's hardware, analyses the control objects, control process and control requirements of the air compressor control system, determines the control system's features and control targets by analyzing the controlling demands.Based on the above-mentioned study, we design control system hardware architecture by using the OMRON's C2000H programmable controller system; write the software specifications according to the system's design requirements, and then design programs by using the corresponding programming language,we site the formal model of the on-site object before the integration testing, and then detect and correct the vast majority of design errors of self-control procedures in the simulation environment, most design errors are found and corrected., and test the control code completely. By designing of the air compressor PLC control system's hardware platform and controlling programms and simulation testing procedures, we can see the advantages of the PLC controller on reliability, easy maintenance, information technology, etc.
