With the development of mechanical industry, a lot of rectilinear motion requirements were used in the modern mechanical engineering.Hydraulic drive technology is better than traditional mechanical component drive and Electric drive in this field. The hydraulic cylinder is the most commonly used and typical execution part in the hydraulic pressure system. It can realize the rectilinea motion of the work device by simple structure. If we can design the hydraulic cylinder which accord with user's demand accurately and high-efficient, the development efficiency of the machine will be improved to a certain extent, and then the trade competitiveness of the relative products will be strengthened.In recent years, the technology of computer aided design has already been widely applied to such fields as the machinery, electron, spaceflight, chemical industry and become the important tool of improving design efficiency of enterprises, optimizing the design plan and strengthening and the design standardization. But design is a kind of intellectual behavior of the human creativity and environmental condition reciprocation. Traditional CAD technology is unable to offer effective computer support of the whole course of product development.In order to improve the design efficiency of the professional field really, the intelligence system with knowledge processing function must be incorporated in traditional CAD technology. Development and study on intelligent computer aided design system of the hydraulic cylinder has been proposed on the basis of these problems in this dissertation. The content studied includes three parts mainly:Design theory of hydraulic cylinder, Parameterization design system and Study on intelligent design philosophy.Firstly, Design theory of hydraulic cylinder. Hydraulic cylinder as a kind of hydraulic drive most commonly used execution part, play an important role in the work of the system. The design cycle and working performance of the hydraulic cylinder were referred to the design cycle and working performance of the complete machine directly. In this dissertation, I had studied on the function, characteristic and basic overview of hydraulic cylinder and analyzed different work requirements that the hydraulic cylinder moves in the organization in various kinds of models. I had studied the design method of main parameters of hydraulic cylinder and the function and structure of the main parts. These are the theoretical foundation of refining the main parameters of parts of hydraulic cylinder on parameterization design phase.Secondly, Parameterization Design System.In this part of the dissertation, the computer aided intelligent design technology is used to study hydraulic cylinder and its parts. Based on Windows operating system, intelligent computer aided design system of the hydraulic cylinder was developed on the platform of Pro/Engineer, with the developing tools of VBA and Visual Basic, and with the technology of 2D parameterization and 3D parameterization model design of hydraulic cylinder, computer graphics techniques etc. By using of this software, the labor of the designer can be decreased and the design efficiency can be increased a lot.Finally, Study on intelligent design philosophy. In order to incorporate the knowledge processing function of the professional field effectively and carry out the national design standard, application of the thought of the intelligence engineering in CAD of the hydraulic cylinder was studied in this dissertation. Surrounding the whole process of hydraulic cylinder design, application of intelligent design philosophy in CAD of the hydraulic cylinder was discussed detailed. Have analyzed emphatically the intelligent choosing and disposing of the parameters in the hydraulic cylinder design process, the intelligence guide of the parameter design and automatic alteration of the 2D parameterization's size etc. Apply the knowledge and experience of the expert in the systematic knowledge base concretely to each design process. And have stated the importance of the intelligent philosophy in the whole of hydraulic cylinder design through giving demonstrations.According to the advanced design principle of software engineering, intelligent computer aided design system of the hydraulic cylinder has been carried on detailed procedure analysis and division of the function module. Merged advanced technology of intelligence engineering, computer aided design, parameter design philosophy and computer aided engineering etc together, the system have been realized intelligent and feedback of mechanical product design procedure. By using of this software, the development efficiency of the hydraulic cylinder can be improved, the development cost can be reduced and the labor of the designer can be decreased a lot.
