Threshing unit is one of the core parts of the combine, which has direct influence on the working performance of the combine or other parts. This article details working principle and characteristics of all kinds of typical threshing unit inside and outside, and researches on typical threshing unit of stripping combine-the axial threshing unit with tangential feeding .Firstly, the working process and principle of the axial threshing unit with tangential feeding are analyzed and mathematic models are made for the first time from the whole and probability, including un-threshed grain, free grain separating grain proportions over the length of the rotor. Secondly, based on the previous research and according to the characteristics of mixture stripped, fed into the threshing unit, differential equations are made, which describe the motion rule of a single spike in threshing space and computer simulation has done. In the end, test research are carried out by the "simulation and control test equipment DF-1. 5 for grain threshing separating and cleaning" , the results show that tests are according to those mathematic models.By the research, we have deeply known about the working rule of the axial threshing unit with tangential feeding of the stripping combine. This study has important realism significance to changing the situation of the design primarily depending on the experience, lack of theoretical guide. On the same time, this study has great theoretical significance and practical value to improving the performance of the combine, promoting replace of products and developing the new threshing unit.
