Acanthopanax senticosus(Rupr.et Maxim)Harms, an Acanthopanax gracilistylus family plant, northern native drug, is a frequently used herb by using the roots, rhizomes or peduncles. The endophytic bacteria and their metabolites are studied in order to provide the valuable scientific foundation for the rational utilization of Acanthopanax senticosus(Rupr. et Maxim)Harms and to protect plant resources. In this work, healthy Acanthopanax senticosus plants in the region of Mao’er mountain in HeiLongjiang province were chosen as research objects, and 53 endophytic bacteria were isolated from the roots, rhizomes and peduncles of these plants by tissue isolating method. All the isolated endophytic bacteria’s metabolites were screened on antimicrobic activity against 11 strains instruction bacteria and 1 strain fungi by filter paper method, such as Bacihylus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Candida albicans and so on.Ten strains which have the higher antimicrobial activity were screened. The compositions of 10 strains fermentation broth extract were extracted and isolated by thin-layer chromatography methods. 4 target bacteria strains whose compositions had antimicrobial activity including CX15, CX26, CX31, CX33 were screened. The target strains’active metabolites were detected by using the high performance liquid chromatogram(HPLC). It was showed that the composition CX33a’s active compound was similar to caffeic acid, one active material of Acanthopanax senticosus(Rupr. et Maxim)Harms. The target strains were identified by morphology observation, the test directions in physiology and biochemistry and 16S rDNA sequence analysis. It was showed that CX15,CX31,CX33 were identified as Bacillus subtilis. And it was showed that CX26 was identified as Brevibacterium halotolerans.Studyon endophytic bacteria of Acanthopanax senticosu(sRupr. et Maxim)Harms for developing and utilizing the resources of Acanthopanax senticosus(Rupr. et Maxim)Harms is reported for the first time. The target strains which have high antimicrobial activity had been screened by antimicrobial activity test. The strain which can produce similar bioactivity metabolites to the Acanthpoanax senticosus host has been found by the extraction, isolation and performance liquid test of its metabolite. It provides a new way for further development and utilization of Acanthopanax senticosus(Rupr. et Maxim)Harms resource. It is significant to protect the ecological environment.
