Research was done on agronomic, physiological, technical properties and quality deterioration of five new sugarcane varieties: Y2, Y3, Y6, DZ93/94 and DZ93/102. T22 was taken as the control variety.In drought tolerance: use some physiological parameters to analysis the drought tolerance of the 6 kinds of species of sugarcane such as electric conductivity,MDA content,SOD activity,CAT content,POD content,the content of soluble praline and sugar,chlorlphy of the leaf .according to the result of the average subordinative function method of some important indexes, it is revealed tha the drought resistance of sugarcane species from strongest to the weakest as fellow: Y2>Y3>Y6>T22 (CK) > DZ93/102>DZ93/94.In the research of the cold resistance: use some physiological parameters to analysis the cold resistance of the 6 kinds of species of sugarcane such as electric conductivity,MDA content,SOD activity and so on . ccording to the result of the average subordinative function method of some important indexes, it is revealed tha the cold resistance of sugarcane species from strongest to the weakest as fellow: Y3>T22 (CK) > Y2 > Y6 > DZ93/102 > DZ93/94.In agronomic characters: Dz93/94 had the higher budding rate and DZ93/102 had the lower budding rate . During the whole growth time, Y3 grew faster and Dz93/102 was the slower.In cane yield: the arrangement of cane yield wad as followed: Y3>Dz93/94> Y6> T22(CK)>Y2>Dz93/102.In technical properties: the quality analysis showed DZ93/102 were of extra high sucrose-content, All tested varieties had high purity of cane juice. DZ93/102 had low content of glucose.
