| Hippeastrum (Hippeastrum vittatum Herb.)has big and colorful flowers, which was popular all around the world. In order to expand the domestic market of Hippeastrum, this paper studied its rapid propagation techniques, including cutting propagation and tissue culture propagation. The material of the study on Hippeastrum's cutting propagation were the big bulbs of Apple Blossom, a variety of Hippeastrum. We studied the medium pH value and the cutting's affections on the shoot induce rate.The result was shoots could be induced in 8 weeks, and when pH value reached 6.6, the induce rate raised to 88.9%, the highest rate. Seedling grew well by common cultivation methods. And within two years, the single bulb weight reached 100g and the perimeter 13cm.The little bulbs of aseptic shoots, induced from the Hippeastrum bulb's twin scales in vitro, were re-cut to induce more offspring, and thus study how to improve the techniques of seedling industrial production. It was found that shoots can be induced in 1/2MS medium supplemented with 6-BA and NAA. The induced shoot quality didn't decline even the little bulbs were cut many times, during this study.The main results were as follows: 1 Hippeastrum's big bulb's disinfectionThe best disinfection method was to dip the explants in the 45℃for 35min, and then in the saturated bleaching powder solution for 12min. With this method, the shoot induce rate reached 68.33%.2 Shoot induced by re-cutting the aseptic shootIn the study, the aseptic bulb could be re-cut to induce more offspring, however, the leaves can only induce snow-like callus.To induce more offspring, the best way was to quarter-cut the little bulb. The best medium for shoot induce was: 1/2 MS + BA 8 mgL-1 + NAA 1 mgL-1,pH 6.6,supplied with 45gL-1sugar. The best medium for root induce was: 1/2 MS + BA 2 mgL-1 + NAA 1.0 mgL-1,pH 6.2,supplied with 15gL-1sugar. The best weight - gain medium was : 1/2 MS + BA 4 mgL-1 + NAA 0.1 mgL-1,pH 6.2,supplied with 60gL-1 sugar.Further study showed that add KH2PO4 80g L-1 and TIBA 0.5mg L-1 to the medium would increase the weight of induced bulbs obviously. In this study, TIBA not only inhibited the growth of the aboveground part (leaves), thus promoted the growth of underground part (bulb), but also raised the shoot induce rate.3 Hippeastrum aseptic seeding transplantingSeeding quality evaluation was very important to the Hippeastrum aseptic seeding transplanting. According to the affection of biological properties of the seeding, such as height, weight, as well as small seedlings bulb diameter, etc. on their survival rate, distribute the score weight, and then gave the seeding scores following the percentile rules. We found that when the offspring get 50 or above, they could survive and grew well during the two years. And within two years, the single bulb's perimeter reaches 14cm. According to this rate, the bulbs can blossom in 3 years.
