Combined the theory of Chinese traditional medicine with the research progression of modern immunology, the polysaccharide extracted from Chinese herbal medicine compound recipe and Lasota were applied to chicken, the effects of the polysaccharide extracted from Chinese herbal medicine compound recipe on increasing immune function and antioxidation were discussed. The sum of WBC, phagocytosis function of the abdominal cavity macrophage, transformation efficiency of lymphocyte, ND-HI antibody titers, chicken's immune organ (bursa F, thymus and spleen) index, SOD, MDA, GSH-PX, CAT and T-AOC were determined. The order is to preparing good and cheap Chinese herbal medicine immune enhancement agent and providing dependable basis for its development and utilization. The results shows:1. Chicken's sum of WBC and phagocytosis function of the abdominal cavity macrophage were significantly advanced after the experiment. It shows the polysaccharide extracted from the Chinese herbal medicine compound recipe can increase chicken's nonspecific immune function.2. Chicken's transformation efficiency of lymphocyte and ND-HI antibody titers were significantly advanced after the experiment. It shows the polysaccharide extracted from the Chinese herbal medicine compound recipe can increase chicken's specific immune function.3. Chicken's bursa F, thymus and spleen index were advanced, it shows the polysaccharide extracted from the Chinese herbal medicine compound recipe can promote immune organ's growth and development and immunity.4. The activity of SOD, CAT and T-AOC in serum, thymus and spleen, and GSH-PX in serum was significantly advanced; the content of MDA in serum, thymus and spleen was significantly decreased. It shows the polysaccharide extracted from the Chinese herbal medicine compound recipe can remove free radical and enhance chicken's antioxidative function.
