Objective: To observe the clinical effect of chronic aplastic anemia (CAA) treated with Busuishengxue granule and the influence on PKB signal transduction in bone marrow stroma cells from CAA patients before and after treatment.Methods: Sixty cases of CAA were divided into two groups at random, thirty patients of the treated group were treated with Busuishengxue granule and thirty patients of the control group were treated with Zaizhang Shengxue tablet. We observed the clinical effect of the sixty patients treated with Busuishengxue granule and Zaizhang Shengxue tablet. At the same time the expression of PKB in bone marrow stroma cells from patients with CAA were detected by Western-blot before and after treatment.Results:1. The total effective rate of Busuishengxue granule and Zaizhang Shengxue tablet were 73.33% and 53.33%, and the comparison between the two groups showed significant difference (P<0.05). In Busuishengxue granule group, its curative effect was superior in Kidney-Yang deficiency type to that in Kidney-Yin deficiency type (P<0.05).2. Busuishengxue granule could reduce the symptoms integral and increase the peripheral blood cells of CAA patients significantly.3. The expression of PKB was lower than that in the normal controlled group before treatment, but after treatment it got elevated in certain degree, the comparison between the two groups showed significant difference in PKB (P<0.05). After treatment the comparison between the Kidney-Yang deficiency type and Kidney-Yin deficiency type in Busuishengxue granule group showed significant difference in PKB (P<0.05).Conclusion: The clinical effect of Busuishengxue granule in treating CAA is superior to that of Zaizhang Shengxue tablet. And it shows that there is a characteristic in treating CAA, it is easy to treat Yang deficiency, but difficult for Yin deficiency. By elevating the expression level of MSC PKB of CAA patients Busuishengxue granule may regulate hematopoietic signal transduction of bone marrow, and improve hemopoietic microenvironment by inducing hematopoietic cell to proliferate and differentiate, then stimulate bone marrow hemopoiesis. It can be provided some evidences for us to reveal the nosogenesis of CAA.
