This was a crucial period of change to Art Education in modern china during the earlier years of republic of china. During this particular period, Chinese Culture and Western culture we collided and integrated intensely. A large of art educators hoped it could reform traditional Chinese art education through the introduction of Western art education,while promoting the development of Chinese art career and improving the overall quality of the whole people. In the process of development and change, School system that new art schools at all levels had built was gradually improving, while educational ideology and teaching methods of art educators matured .So, variety of educational styles and distinctive form of art education had formed during this period , its impact has continued to today.The paper's main research is the education of high art, which is in the early republic of china. On research method, a historical document is the basis and the paper chooses the system discuss, the clue of this paper is the vertical growing time, and the mean is the horizontal comparing. This paper systematic analysis the main schools and the representatives in the early republic of china, which are both in the private and the public art specialized schools, what's more, the idea of the art education, the teaching method, the constructive school system and the reference objects, which belong to the representatives, are all discussed in this paper. Probing the inner law of the new school's high art education in the early republic of china, which is the paper's purpose? This paper chooses the historical background of the new school's high art education, containing its form It's development, and its reform. And according to"external shocks-inner reaction-structure evolution", the west art education is introduced to our education system gradually.Studying history to seek for the direction of future development, we summarize the achievements of New School of Higher Art Education in the early period of the republic of china, and they should see the limit by objective conditions. In the course of its development, it has limitations, such as neglecting of traditional Chinese art education and copying external form of Western Art Education simply. So , the paper analyzes the influence higher art education of new schools ,its historical evaluation and the links between them .We hope that it can provide historical basis and advise in order to solve the problems which Higher Art Education in China is facing today , through multi-perspective.
