Now at the information age, probes into the booming news commentary are of theoretical value and practical significance. This paper, an in-depth probe into English news commentary will analyze the features and translation strategies of English news commentary based on example analysis.This paper is divided into two parts. The first part highlights the features of English news commentary, including the definition, structure and hallmarks of English news commentary. The distinctions between Chinese and English news commentary are also made.
