A Discussion On The Vital Functions Of Fine Art Education In The Quality Development For College Students

Fine art education, a great way to carry out quality education,is playing a vital role in prompting the overall quality development of college students, trainging them to adapt to modern society which requires morality, aesthetics and sense of innovation.The thesis is intended to reveal the important functions of the fine art educaiton in contemporary college education. The conclution is drawn and supported by the study of the fine art education knowledge, the domestic and foreign backgrounds of the development of the fine art education, the analysis of the current situations of the fine art education lessons in 7 relevant colleges/universities, and a questionaire survey by a pool of 400 students from Jinan Vocational College concerning their knowledge on the fine art education and attidudes towards it.The revitalization of a nation and the progress of its advanced culture depend on the development of its people's comprehensive quality. With their higher cultural literacy and more independent personality, college students typically represent the quality level of their people, giving much more influence on the nation-wide improvement in comprehensive quality.They are facing increasingly higher demands in comprehensive quality and the ability in art heritage from time and history.In recent years, the functions of the fine art education in the quality education for college students have found their popularity and acceptance among experts and common people. Some colleges and universities in China have started to apply the fine art education to various courses and have achieved initial success by the means of integrating it with the social and the familiar fine art education.The fine art education plays a critical role in the quality education. It consists of the art theories, painterly skills, and background knowledge of the renowned work of art. A study of the three aspects can help college students to enrich their cultural deposits, have an artistic foresight, possess an artistic temperament and aesthetic appreciation.Through the explanation on the definition, contents and functions of fine art education, with the survey,research and analysis made on relevant fine art education conditions, the thesis has reached the conclusion that fine art education is not only necessary but has its unique importance in the quality development of college students.
