The Comparative Analysis Of Two Country-specific Chinese Teaching Materials In Thailand

This paper selected two representative sets of elementary Chinese textbooks which one is co-prepared by China and Thailand universities and the other one is prepared by Thai university, made a systematic comparative analysis, observed especially the country-specific degree and differences of them.In the phonetic, paper conducted a comparison of vowels, consonants and tone system of Chinese and Thai, made sure the focal and difficult points of Thailand students in learning Chinese phonetic, and investigated the explanation of these points in the two sets of textbooks.In the culture, paper established the criteria for classification of culture items, and made statistical analysis of the number, category and arrangement of cultural point and culture plane of China and Thailand in the two sets of textbooks.In the text, paper made statistical analysis of the form, genre, theme, scene, language and difficulty.Paper also made summary comparison of Chinese characters, translation and treatment of traditional and simplified characters.
