The author of this dissertation puts forward the theory of the structures of Human essence after briefly introduced and commented on the main points of view of Human essence raised by the thinkers, both ancient and present, home and abroad, especially modern thinkers. This dissertation holds: Man's natural character, the first level of the Human essence, is also His innate character. Man is a kind of human species whose genetic gene is the essential character of His nature, and the activities to satisfy Man's physiology need are Man's basic activities. Man's natural character restrict and affect more or less His consciousness character, His social character and His practical character. Man's consciousness character, the second level of Human essence, is Man's mental character which is the essential distinction between Man and animal. The difference of Man's consciousness is the inner factor of the Human essence difference of the real man, Man's practical activity and Man's social existence and development. Man's social character, the third level of Human essence is the distinction between Man and animal. Human essence can only be found in the social relationship that He is in. Man's practical character, the fourth level of Human essence, is the basic difference between Man and animal and the foundation of Human essence formation and development. Man's practice is the direct basis of the difference between the real man. The relationship between the thinking and existence is not only the philosophical basic problem, but has the significance of anthoropology. Human essence is the contradiction existence between thinking and existence proceeding in practice. The theory of the structure of Human essence has both theoretical and practical significance.
