Ludwig Wittgenstein, who is not only an important philosopher, but also an important logician in the history of modern western thought, devoted himself to invent modern logic system with the contemporary philosopher including B.A.W.Russell, A.N.Whitehead, and G.Frege. The value of his thoughts can't be ignored if we receive this opinion that Wittgenstein influenced two modernphilosophy motions--logical positivism and ordinary language school of thought.Wittgenstein's thoughts are considered to his philosophical work included two periods--Wittgenstein I and Wittgenstein II. The research of Wittgenstein I is necessaryfor some reasons, which is the thoughts of Wittgenstein I is the preparation for understand Wittgenstein II ,which is Wittgenstein I studied language and innate character of the world, which is Wittgenstein II influenced many streams of modern philosophy such as post-modernism ,phenomenology and other post-modern culture motions. So only based on study exactly Wittgenstein I ,can we recognize the chance cause of them. This essay will benefit the study on Wittgenstein for selecting Trctatus Logico-philosophicus------the most important book of Wittgenstein I------to discuss.Trctatus Logico-philosophicus, which is often misunderstood by researchers, discussed traditional philosophy problems such as language and the world. But Wittgenstein used some ways of modern logic to solve these problems and received his new opinions. We list these problems: what is the world? What is the language? How the language correspond the world? What help us to cogitate the world through the language that describes the world? Can we use language to describe all the thingsof the world? What is the edge of the language and the world? What is beyond the edge of the language? Can we recognize the things beyond it? Wittgenstein thinks it as follow propositions: the world is the totality of facts, is the totality of atomic facts that are the facts can't be analyzed more; The proposition is a picture of reality; Tow objects of the same logical form are the proposition and the fact which it describe. The form of the possible fact can't be talked or depicted. The picture is a model of reality. The logical picture can depict the world. The picture has the logical form of representation in common with it pictures. The logical picture of the facts is the thought. The totality of true thoughts is a picture of the world. The values of an expression are the propositions that contain the expressions. What values the prepositional variable can assume is determined. The thought is the significant proposition. The totality of propositions is the language. Propositions can be true or false onlyby being pictures of the reality. The object of philosophy is the logical clarification of thoughts. Philosophy is not a theory but an activity. The result of philosophy is to make propositions clear. Philosophy is not one of the natural sciences. The propositions of natural sciences are sensitive. The ethics, aesthetics and meta-physics are transcendental because they cannot be expressed, only can shows themselves. Not how the world is, but that it is, is mystical. The world is a limited whole. What we can talk and depict is just natural sciences. Maybe the phenomenon is the edge of the mind. Beyond all of this, whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent. The object of the author is only to explain the thoughts of Wittgenstein I ,not to review his thoughts. This essay is made of the parts like follows: form theory, truth-value theory, and inexpressible objects, in the essay, the author only mention some philosophers who are related with Wittgenstein such as David Hume, Immanuel Kant,B.Spinoza, and A.Schopenhauer.Other philosophers such as B.Russell who is Wittgenstein's teacher and his friend are not mentioned only because of data, my time or mind. I will make it be perfect in the future.
