The Space Concept Of The Landscape In Chinese Painting

The space concept of the landscape in Chinese painting was born in the Chinese traditional cultural environment. The spiritual power from the heart enforces the expanding feeling of the space concept. The Chinese space concept allows one to observe the greatness of the universe and the diversity of the species, the birth and death of everything, the law of the nature. This paper aims at introducing the formation and evolution of the Chinese space concept, and comparing it with the space concept of the western painters.
