The curious mixture of Eastern themes with Western cultural influences and painting techniques created what is today known as Shanghai Calendar, namely Yuefenpai. As the remains of the Minguo Period, the role they played in advertising industry has gone by far. However, as a national painting style and the historical data the Shanghai calendar poster that recorded the history and culture of one period is quite valuable.
