The study firstly analyzed and discussed many researches on creative personality home and abroad, and then gave a brief summary for researches on negative personality of creativity. On the basis of this, the study constructed a model on negative personality of creativity that fits the junior middle school students of China. By investigating more than 850 samples from city and countryside, the paper established a framework of negative personality of creativity that includes 32 items, 6 factors. The paper also examined the reliability and validity of the scale and used it for a preliminary study. The results indicate that:(1)The negative personality of creativity for junior middle school students scale has high reliability and validity.(2)The exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis shows that the scale includes 32 items and 6 factors. The 6 factors are: stereotypical and retardy traits, disability traits, independent traits, indifferent traits, hesitation traits and imaginary ability.(3)The scores of the junior middle school students in the scale have significant difference between sexes, areas and school types. In general, female students have higher scores than male ones, and the students from rural areas have higher scores than the city ones, and also the students from instructional schools have much lower scores than the students from ordinary ones.
