A Study Of The Two-syllabled Verbs In Yantielun

Yantielun is a political commentary works edited by Huan Kuan at the Western Han Dynasty, based on the record of the Yan-Tie Conference. This works is an important document for understanding the economic and political issue of the Western Han Dynasty, with the topic of the economic policy of the Western Han Dynasty and particularly the core of issue in selling the salt and iron by the government or not. Meanwhile, because of its main form of dialogue, the style of works is near to the spoken language of that time in the view of language and provides abundant lingual data for us to understand the lingual characteristic at the Western Han Dynasty.The research object of this dissertation is the two-syllabled verbs in Yantielun .From the angles of vocabulary and grammar, the dissertation analyzes and studies the two-syllabled verbs in Yantielun objectively and accurately , so as to provide some materials for the study of two-syllabled words of ancient Chinese on vocabulary and grammar. In vocabulary, we uses the theories of vocabulary and rhetoric to judge the two-syllabled verbs in Yantielun and collects all of the two-syllabled verbs in Yantielun, then classifies the verbs by structures, and analyzes the composition and characteristic of part of speech. In addition, from the point of view of grammar, the dissertation makes the statistics of the two-syllabled verbs of Yantielun in distributing and combination as well as sentence element and finally reveals the characteristic of phraseological function.At the same time, on the basis of study of the two-syllabled verbs of Yantielun ,the dissertation also reviews the situation in assimilating the two-syllabled verbs of Yantielun into Hanyu Dacidian and discovers that Hanyu Dacidian have the positive aspect in assimilating the new two-syllabled verbs of Yantielun and also negative one such as words omission, items omission, outdated instances .As for its negative aspect,we have made the concerned work such as addition and correction accordingly.
