From the ancient times to the present, the methodology and idea about how to study Chinese characters and Chinese language have been changed greatly, so the research about the connection between Chinese characters and Chinese language should be changed too.The discussion in this paper is instructed by the modern method and modern theory of general language, Chinese language and Chinese philology. The research is based on the successions of former scholars. During the research, the author takes historical analysis together with common analysis ,dynamic analysis together with static analysis to the material, and gives the connection between Chinese characters and Chinese language an all-sided investigation.Chinese-characters is an unique ideograph. It dose not only record Chinese language and adjust itself to Chinese language , but also has a great reaction to Chinese language. Chinese-characters and Chinese language influence each other and restrain each other. The connection between Chinese characters and Chinese language is dynamic.Chinese-characters is a writing system that is used to record Chinese language, so the development and the structure of Chinese characters are determined by Chinese language. But Chinese characters can convey meaning through their shapes, so it has great reaction to phonetic, semantic meaning, vocabulary grammar and rhetoric.
