Under the perspective of Chinese-English Dictionary, this paper took five representative words of the plant in semantic field, "Cotton ", " Pear "," Lotus ", "wheat ","peach", as the object of our study, using corpus techniques to describe their meanings in modern Chinese distribution description. On this basis for them in Modern Chinese Dictionary (sixth edition) the interpretation doubts. Finally apply their research to foreign language teaching of plant terms, helping these five words in the contemporary Chinese 6 amended again to provide modest and to provide International students in language studying with reference when studying these plants words.Article is divided into three parts. The first part of the introduction, Analyzed respectively the Chinese class of medium-sized Chinese dictionary Referred to in the same definition of similarity and the English medium of language dictionaries Referred to in the same meaning. Finding: Chinese class of medium sized language dictionaries on the same interpretation of the word has a high similarity, suggesting that the same interpretation of the word Chinese such interpretations are followed each other between medium sized language dictionary, Therefore, the interpretation of their innovative small;But English medium-language dictionaries refer to the same interpretation of a low degree of similarity, suggesting the English medium of language dictionaries on one interpretation of the word draw less, They have their own opinions, and interpretation of the word would pay more attention to regular and systematic.Therefore, this article suggests, dictionary of workers in China should learn from foreign experience, based on domestic and speed up the construction and application of computer corpus codification.The second part is the first chapter to the fifth chapter. Chapters of the study are "cotton", "pear", "Lotus", "Mai", "peach". Among them, "Cotton" have 24,926 corpus in the corpus, we classify download 12,859 corpus, of about 1,132,014 Words, advicing revise one meaning item and delete one of the definition and add one item;we take 14,653 statistics of "Pear" about 898,847 words, advicing change one of the definitions and add one meaning item and delete one item; we take the "Lotus" 14,320 Word corpus, the statistics of about 1,381,880 words, We propose to increase a new meaning item and delete one item; "Wheat" have 46564 corpus in the corpus, we take 16181 statistics of "Wheat" about 1,553,798 words, advicing increase in one sense; we take 13,317 statistics of "Peach" about 1,316,302 words, advicing delete one item, modify one interpretation and add one item.The third part is the conclusion.We not only put forward innovation and shortcomings, but also to article five of the study of the meaning of distribution and regularly summarizes the new teaching strategies.
