Based on the corpus technical method, we took four representative characters of the semantic meaning for animal semantic field,"Gou","Mao","Ji","Shu", as the object of our study, presented the distribution of the semantic items in the modern Chinese language and proposed suggestions to the description of semantic items of these four characters and relevant word-collection in the Contemporary Chinese Dictionary (the sixth edition).We also designed different teaching methods and made corresponding teaching instructions, hoping to apply our study findings to the teaching of Chinese as a second language and make contributions to the teaching of animal character items.There are three parts in this article. The first part is Introduction, aiming to recall Chinese Dictionary from the academic history. We divided the development of Dictionary into three periods:Origin of Chinese Characters and Kangxi Dictionary as ancient history, The Chinese big dictionary and Contemporary Chinese Dictionary as modern history, and compiling dictionary using corpus technical method as new era. By dividing the development history, we can tell the specific characters at each time period. By dividing the development history, we can tell the specific characters is more maturing at each period. In the new ear, it is very necessary to use corpus technical method to compile a dictionary.The second part is divided into fourth chapters. Analysis of a large amount of linguistic data, we define the four representative characters of the sematic meaning for animals,"Gou","Mao","Ji","Shu",in the modern Chinese. We find "Gou" have six meaning items,"Mao" have four meaning items,"Ji" have six meaning items,"Shu" have six meaning items. And proposed modification suggestions of these four representative characters and in Contemporary Chinese Dictionary as combining relevant theories in lexicography. According to the studying findings of the four representative characters of the semantic meaning for animal semantic field,"Gou","Mao","Ji","Shu", we designed Intuitive method, Context experience method, Association and contrast, Collective vocabulary teaching methods, Vocabulary network category differentiate method, Concept map method, etc. And applied these methods to the animal character item teaching of Chinese as a second language.The third part is conclusion, summarizing the main contents of the article and illustrating the limitation of this study. |
