Based on the study of literature review of modern Chinese language teaching reform, this thesis, through practical investigation, mainly purports to explore the reasons of dilemma of modern Chinese language teaching in higher teachers college and proposes a set of practical reform measures. The whole thesis consists of five parts.The first part presents the current situation of modern Chinese language teaching and states the writing purpose of this thesis.The second part is about the investigation of current situation in higher teachers college.The third part analyzes the dilemma of modern Chinese language teaching.The forth part discusses the ideas of modern Chinese language teaching reform.In the last part, the measures are to be taken to modern Chinese language teaching reform.After investigating carefully, this thesis expounds the measures according to the real situation in higher teachers college. What's more, to renew the objectives of teaching is to acquire the basic knowledge, perfect the language proficiency and focus on the language performance. To rearrange teaching contents is to adjust the texts according to the priciples of addition, deletion and perfect then to classify it into four couses: Putonghua; lexicon of modern Chinese characters,;figures of speech and speech communication. The purposes are to upgrade teaching methods in future teaching; make good use of modern education technology and get better results. And also much more attention is to paid to reform the examination-evaluation system and build diversified and comprehensive evaluation system.
