The Implicit Negative Imperative Sentence In Chinese

This thesis studies a special Chinese language form------the Implicit Negative Imperative Sentence.Based on the theory of three-dimensional syntax and the research in determining the nature of the language facts, this thesis makes a clear distinction about the character and extension of the Implicit Negative Imperative Sentence.Depicting and analyzing it from on three layers which called syntactic form,semantic structure and pragmatic characteristic.It tries to explain better about the Chinese Implicit Negative Imperative Sentence.And it consists of five chapters.Chapter 1:Character and Extension.According to the conception,it discusses the Imperative Sentence,the Affirmative Imperative Sentence and Negative Imperative Sentence,the Explicit Negative Imperative Sentence and Implicit Negative Imperative Sentence in turn.And compared with several synonymous forms,revealing the attribute and characteristic of the Implicit Negative Imperative Sentence,that is,the affirmative expression connotes the negative meaning without explicit negative marks,and it expresses imperative meaning of "caution" indirectly.Chapter 2:Syntax Form.It includes two types,the syntax form of "V+了(le)/着(zhe)" and the syntax form of "VC!" "NV!" "VN!" etc., which are mostly "V + complement",and the exceptional formats also show some "result" caused by some act in semantic.Chapter 3:Semantic Peculiarity.From "semantic of structure" and "semantic of tense",combining the holistic meaning of sentence,it analyses the semantic peculiarity which shows negative,foreseeable and integrative of context.And the predicate-core "V" and its correlative components have specifically semantic peculiarity in different circumstances.Chapter 4:Pragmatic Analysis.The Implicit Negative Imperative Sentence as a kind of "conversation functional sentence",it discusses the context,cognizance of expresser and accepter,pragmatic information, and speech action.Chapter 5:Significance of Theory and Practice.The study of the Implicit Negative Imperative Sentence has significance of theory in Chinese,which embodies two aspects,one is the partition and subsection about sentence type,the other is the important function of the pragmatic meaning in sentence study.At the same time,it has significance of practice in Chinese teaching,which emphasizes combination of the syntax-sentence teaching with the context teaching.Finally,it summarizes the contents of thesis and the correlative questions in the future study.
