Globalization has offered great potentials for countries to share their cultures and creative talents, and cultural industry has become one of the most dynamic sectors of the world economy. Consequently, cultural trade has developed rapidly recently and it would account for bigger and bigger percentage in the total value of world trade.However, China's cultural products are far from outstanding enough to draw the world's attention and China's cultural influence is far from being prestigious worldwide. Therefore, Chinese cultural products just take a small share in the international market, which forms a huge contrast with the status of Chinese's "Top Three" in total value of imports and exports.This paper is outlined and completed based on a research of Chinese cultural industry and trade, trying to give some suggestions. Chapter one is introduction to give the background, the intention and a rough picture of this paper. Chapter two tells some basic definition and the international environment of Chinese cultural trade. Chapter three states the current situation of Chinese cultural trade and analyzes the problems existing in the industry, which limit the development of Chinese cultural industry. Chapter four brings in some successful experience of the USA and Korea, for the purpose of offering some advices to our cultural industry. The last chapter, as the major part of this paper, provides some countermeasures to revive our cultural industry and improve the cultural trade.
