School adaptation is an important indicator to evaluate mental health condition of students. School adaptation impact not only on the individual's present emotion,mental and behavior,but also play an inestimable role to the future development of young people.The purpose of research is to investigate the internal structure of junior students' School adaptation,and the current school adaptation in Middle School,the distinction of different students as well as the relation between their self-concept and School adaptation.For this purpose,the relevant data are collected by open questionnaires,researches into some relevant references,some standard research method,such as factor analysis,regression analysis and correlation analysis are employed.In the end of this article, some target-oriented education intervention proposals are put forward.The conclusions drawn by this research are as follows:(1)The school adaptation Inventory for junior students has good validity and reliability.It was up to psychology testing theory and was suitable for surveying use.(2)Three dimensions were identified in school adaptation Inventory for junior students:School attitudes and emotion,companion relationship,relationship with teacher,academic adaptation,and conventional adaptation.(3)The whole adaptation of junior students is medium,academic adaptation was bad than others.(4)There is significant difference between gender,grade,whether boarders,whether Remote students,Perception to academic performance.Results show that:①Female students' school adaptation is better than male students②There was a significant grade difference In the aspect of relationship with teacher and academic adaptation,the Score of grade two is significant lower than grade one and grade there in the aspect of relationship with teacher,grade there is better than others in the academic adaptation.③There was significant difference on score of school adaptation between students came from villages and city oriented,also in relationship with teacher and companion relationship④Resident students were significant lower than nonresidence students in school adaptation,as well as in the aspect of School attitudes and emotion,companion relationship, relationship with teacher,conventional adaptation.⑤There was significant difference in school adaptation between Remote students and Ordinary students;the former was significant lower than the later in all aspect of school adaptation.⑥There was significant difference between Perceptions to academic performance,the performance is better;the school adaptation level is higher.(5)There is significant difference between the groups who got difference score on self-concept.(6)The school adaptation of junior students is markly related to the self-concept,many factor of self-concept can predict the aspect of school adaptation,Family self was a strongest predictor, followed by Self-satisfaction and social self.
