This thesis focuses on present situation of primary Chinese oral class practice. Firstly, it analyzes the nature and the function of practice, and reviews the related research results of pedagogies, psychology and language pedagogy both in China and foreign countries. It also summarizes the differences and similarities of those teaching methods schools. Besides, it points out 5 unresolved problems. Namely the class practice pattern, the relations between teachers' "input" and students' "output", the roles of teachers and students', the relations between machinery practice and meaningful practice, and the serviceability of practice methods. In view of these five problems, this thesis altogether selects ten sections of foreign language teaching video and the audio recordings as research materials. Through the descriptions, the analysis and the reorganizations of these audio and video materials, the author has discovered many factors which restrict and influence the practice effect. By reorganizing and inducting those materials, the author has drew the following 5 conclusions, (1) At present, the oral class practice still continues to use the educational model of intensive class. However, the key to success lies in teachers' performances; (2) As the leaders of the classes, teachers should let "input" to be more succinct and direct-viewing by using some methods, and give students speaking opportunities as more as possible; (3) Teachers should be not only the designers, captains, but also the participates. Then teachers and students should maintain interactive relations in practice process. (4) Machinery practice should still be the main way of practice in the initial stage, but it is necessary and possible to increase communicative training (5) Lead-reading, repetition, replacement, inquiry and pre-speech are effective training methods for primary oral language stage, and we should attach importance to the function of inquiry. Finally, on the foundation of analysis to present practice activities, the thesis proposes several suggestions for enhancing the efficiency of class practice, hoping it can actively inspire the present Chinese teaching.
