Due to the complexity and diversity of Chinese complement itself, Chinese complements teaching is a key teaching focus and difficulty in Teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Based on second language acquisition theory, contrastive analysis and data statistics, the paper will do some comparison between the Chinese Complements and the corresponding forms of Chinese Complements in Thai language, exploring the natural order of Chinese complements' Acquisition of Thai students and the complements Error Levels, analyzing the distribution of the error types, so as to get a more comprehensive understanding of the Acquisition of Chinese complements System in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.The paper consists of seven chapters:The first chapter is an introduction of the significance and the purpose of the research on Chinese complements' Acquisition. This chapter introduced the theory which this paper based on, research methods and Corpus sources as well.The second part of the paper presents the four classifications of modern Chinese complements, the generation and the development process of the Chinese complements System in TCFL. Reviewing the development process of the Chinese complements system acquisition of the foreign students.Chapter III uses the contrastive analysis method to compare the various types of Chinese complement with the corresponding forms in Thai language and the corresponding meanings between the two.Chapter IV: According to the statistics of the errors which occurred during the process of Chinese complements acquisition of Thai students to find out the Error Levels. Analysis those errors' types and distribution during the three stage of Thai students' Chinese complements acquisition.Chapter V: Calculating the complement samples that the Thai students used in their compositions and assignments to find out the Chinese complements acquisition order. Chapter VI: According to the Chinese complements acquisition order and the Error Levels, outlining the strategy in order to shorten the process of Thai students' Chinese complements acquisition. Give a recommendation on compiling grammar syllabus and textbooks for TCFL.The last chapter summarized the whole research of this paper.
