A Study On The British And American Overseas Students' Acquisition Process Of Chinese "Lai" And "Qu"

Acquisition process is the important part of the SLA. Now, the researches about directional verbs reflect the acquisition process of the sentences.The clew of the thesis are"Lai"and"Qu", and describe transverse and lengthways acquisition process. The thesis relates to three parts.The first part is the analysis of the HSK composition interlanguage data bank and questionnaireâ… . Step one is to describe the usage of the"XLai/ XQu"in the sentences and phrases of the Chinese, then to describe the usage of the"XLai/XQu"in the composition. Step two is to describe the usage of the"V Lai/V Qu"in the sentences and phrases of the Chinese, then to describe the usage of the"V Lai/ V Qu"in their composition and questionnaireâ… . Step three, the imparallelity and the difference of the"Lai"and"Qu"are described. At last, I will draw a conclusion and explanation of the phenomena.The second part is the analysis of the supposing. Through the questionnaireâ…¡, the supposing can be verified. SPSS is used, the analysis become more scientific. The finding will be explained.The third part is to find out the result of the thesis. The most important step is theory be practiced in teaching. So it should be useful to introduce some suggestion for teaching"Lai"and"Qu".We find the process is coincident during the acquisition, but difference happen sometimes. Highly acquisition stage become, lowly the many numbers become, but the combination of the words breaks out. The ability of the language and cognition of the students are useful and important during acquisition process.
