And use the wrong forms, wrong syntax functions, wrong grammatical meanings , like "他苗苗条条的", "她的眼睛很大,唇很红红的" and so on .These mistakes mainly have three reasons: First, the explanations in teaching materials are not correct, the practice designed insufficiently; Second, teachers' wrong methods ; Third, students' evasion strategy as well as goal language rules.How enables the foreign students to grasp and using adjective overlaps correctly is an important research subject, also the main purpose which this article studies is. After this article research is for the purpose of letting the foreign students grasp: it can or not overlap; If can overlap what its overlap form; what are their syntax functions and grammatical meanings. Certainly, the language custom results in the process is the process which proceeds in an orderly way, should arrange this grammatical function according to students' levels ,cannot get it done in one action.This article has profited from the predecessors' research results, have studied the adjective in the program, the mistakes the foreign students had made, how to arrange this grammar foundation in "Learned Chinese", "Development Chinese", to enlighten how teachers to teach, how to arrange in the teaching materials, how the students to study this grammar.First, this article needs to study the adjective overlaps aims at the adjectives which appear in "Rank Program". Next, this article needs to discuss the adjective overlaps refers to the adjective configuration specially overlapping, but is not constructs the word or is in the phrase, syntax overlapping, for instance, "高高兴兴" has the base type "高兴", "轰轰烈烈" the non-base type, "不错不错" some people called that it the redundant phrase, the latter two are not overlapping which this article needs to discuss. This article uses the Beijing University modern Chinese corpus to examine, and try best to make objectively and accurate.
