With the rapid development of modern technology, Internet news is becoming one of the most popular vehicles to transmit the information to the masses and keeping the close link to the day-to-day life. We can observe that the Internet news becomes more and more significant. The purpose of this thesis is to dig out an effective way to Internet news translation based on the linguistic features of Internet news as well as Nida's Equivalence Theory. This thesis starts from a brief introduction to the Internet news and its linguistic features in Chapter 1. In Chapter 2, the writer illustrates Equivalence Theory in detail, with the explanation of the meaning in source language and target language, then goes further to demonstrate why this theory is feasible for Internet news translation. Chapter 3, with the ample and successful translation samples chosen from website to prove the feasibility of the theory in this translation, the writer also provides the practice skills or techniques of how to translate based on Equivalence Theory. At the end of the thesis, the writer briefly summarizes the study.
