As China's divorce rate has been increasingly rising during the past few years, it sees a sharp increase in divorced families that leads to a greater number of children living in single-parent families. Those poor children are too often counted on as a special group challenged by psychological health of some kind, as a result of their parents'marriage ending. The writer has employed the"MHT", the broad measure of testing psychological health, to conduct a survey on students from divorced families in several suburban junior middle schools of Suzhou , as a part of efforts to compare with their counterparts from whole-families. The results found that the broken-family children had taken the worse-hit psychologically than their whole-family counterparts, particularly when it comes to statistical difference in the aspects of learning anxiety, self-blame proclivity and body symptom. In the meantime, the writer accordingly responds with constructive counseling available to all junior middle school students from divorced families via data analysis aimed at finding out the root cause of psychological problems, and also through the integration of real survey, in-depth talks and case study .
