Since the establishment of Philippine Tiong Se Academy College in 1899, Chinese language education (CLE) in Philippines has experienced the brilliant but difficult development process with almost 100-year history. The implementation of education filipinization policy has become an important turning-point of the Chinese language education in Philippines. For a long time, it has been considered as the main cause of Chinese language school's gradual decline after Chinese language education filipinization policy. On the basis of previous relevant researches, by means of adopting the method of historical documents, the method of comparison, the method of research and so on, the paper discussed the formation of education filipinization policy, its implementation and its influence on the Chinese language education. The result found out that although education filipinization policy originated from the claim of closing Chinese language school in the 1950s, it was carried out smoothly after the Philippine government started to implement the national assimilation policy. In the culture aspect, education filipinization policy was the last brought into operation among a serious of filipinization policies passed by the legislature after the independence of Philippines government; but it was thoroughly implemented. Acording to the policy, we can find that education filipinization policy is the outcome of the national assimilation policy. However, according to the process of the assimilation and integration of the Philippine Chinese, education filipinization policy is regarded as an inevitable product of the Philippines Chinese merging into Philippines mainstream in the natural selection. Therefore, the revival of Chinese language education in Philippines in the new period will base on advancing the integration of Philippines and Chinese and contributing to cultivate modern characteristics of Chinese ethnic culture. The Chinese language education should take the economic value of Chinese language into consideration in order to face the brand-new opportunities and challenges.
