Moreover, with the improvement of human's cultural quality, modern people begin to advocate the return of awareness and culture, and their demand is not merely to use them to satisfy their lives and production, but on the base of which to satisfy their aesthetic and cultural demand.Furniture is a kind of living objects for human beings, but in some degree, it has deep and thick culture, which reflects the content of human's thought of their time. Taking the furniture of Ming and Qing Dynasties as example, Ming Dynasty furniture shows the scholars advocated simplicity and elegance from model, structure and decoration of the furniture, instead, Qing Dynasty furniture transformed the style from scholarization to noblization, which made the furniture full of royal characteristics. The furniture of Ming and Qing Dynasties achieved the summit in Chinese furniture design history, which represents a typical Chinese culture design idea, achieves an inner feeling of core of spirit and gesture, and reaches the level of perfect combination of furniture and thought. It shocked the whole world.Chinese traditional auspicious pictures combined the animals, plants and words according to various subjects and expressions make the furniture have decoration feature, and use metaphor, harmonic and simile expressions and hollow sculpture skills to show the culture content of auspicious pictures. Therefore, it shows that people want to live happy lives. In modern design, traditional auspicious pictures as a design element have become a focus subject in the area. Designers change, refine and use traditional picture element with modern visual aesthetic idea to make it have the feature of modern time, therefore, it shows the long culture of China. China, the old country with thousands of years culture leaves an abundant art treasury, we should put the elements of national connotation and demeanour into design of modern furniture. We get creativity from traditional technology and folk craft, and reach the perfect exploration and practice of traditional spirit and modern design theory from traditional material creating modern ecological harmony.Traditional auspicious picture art is the reappearance of Chinese national history and culture, it has deep meaning and cultural connotation. I explain how to use the traditional auspicious picture into tables and chairs, and analyze it with some works in my research and study. Under the influence of western design idea, modern designers should aware that they put our national culture into design, use new art expression to show the modern furniture art according to use the excellent art combining modern design.
