Research On The Vestigial Identity System In Xi'an

The thesis researches the situation of vestigial identity system. Elucidates some concepts such as the logo of the concept and characteristics etc, as well as analyses the elements of logo forms and combined with regional characteristics in order to establish historical cultural vestigial identification system. Through constructed the historic and cultural vestigial identity system, not only can express the characteristics of historical and cultural relics and distribution clearly, but also propaganda historic and cultural sites, and enhance protection awareness. This sign system should publicize city characteristics and shaping a good city image.In this paper, traditional cultural heritage for the purpose of visual identity system as the basis of Xi'an urban planning is based, in particular for the Xi'an urban area in the traditional style of area historical and cultural vestigial logo design research. Through the research summarized in this region for historical and cultural sites Xi'an identification system design principles, and historical and cultural vestigial identity system design problems and solutions, to form unique historical and cultural city of Xi'an remains of the identity system. Specific researches include:First of all, sum up of this thesis, analyses the background of research and the specific situation at home and abroad, and points out the significance of this research.Secondly, on the sign identification system's basic concepts and historical and cultural heritage features proposed identity system remains the main content area. Put forward the main contents of the logo system. Emphasis on regional characteristic, in order to design is based on regional culture background.The third part attempts to establish the historic cultural vestigial identity system through the theory of aesthetics, ergonomics and fundamental principle of philosophy and discusses the principles and processes of designing the sign system.This part is introduced the historical cultural relic of the distribution and conservation status. We are investigated and analyzed the traditional style area.The fifth part is the traditional style of area historic sites created identity system. The design should combine environment characteristics and visual elements, for the purpose of showing geographical features. In order to display nationality and region cultural, this sign system uses the Ming and Qing furniture as a source of reference, and extract the essence of the design applied to the identification system.The last part summarizes several standpoints and shortcomings of this thesis.
