Since the 20th century, relying on the enormous power of the science and technology, the humanity has created the brilliant material civilization. But the coming problems: ecological crisis, environmental pollution and the overuse of nature source are threatening the survival and development of humanity seriously. Under this background, ecology philosophy was widely received by academic circles. In recent years, with the vigorous development of ecology philosophy, dispute between anthropocentrism and non-anthropocentrism appears. This dispute mainly lies on the source of the recent environmental problem. Non-anthropocenteism thinks it is persons'insisting on anthropocentrism leading to the recent environmental problem. In order to overcome this problem, people have to come out of view of anthropocentrism. While anthropocentricism insists that they are not the makers of the recent environmental problem but solvers. Focusing on dispute between these two schools, this essay mainly deals with the historical development of these two schools; analyze the main disputing question from different aspects. This essay also analyzes the basic disagreement with these two schools on which demarcation criteria is proposed.First, this essay traces back to the origin and developmental process of anthropocentrism. It also explores the forming background, main sects and central points of non-anthropocentrism. Then, focusing on the criticism of non-anthropocentrism, anthropocentrism amends its theories and propose a view of modern anthropocentrism.Second, through doing up these two schools of anthropocentrism and non-anthropocentrism, I find there are disputes between them but they are not incompatible absolutely. Aiming at solving the relation between human and nature, the most ideal condition is to achieve coexist between nature and human harmoniously. Relating to dispute between these two, there are four aspects from different views: ontology, epistemdogy, value and moral concentration. Through concrete analyzing, I conclude the basic dispute between anthropocentrism and non-anthropocentrism lying on humans'responsibility to nature. Finally, this essay puts forward the demarcation criteria between anthropocentrism and non-anthropocentrism based on their basic disagreement. The standard is humans'responsibility to nature direct or indirect. At last, it explores the theoretical and realistic sense of this standard.
