Museum-School combined art education means that school organizations carry out a series of art creation and appreciation events under a free and open environment in art museum.In recent years, "education" plays an important role in the management of art museum. Many art museums develop and carry out a series of education activities to draw audiences'attention. As a part of the huge audiences, school gets more and more deep relationship with art museum. Because school realizes that art museum education gives great promotion of in-school education, art museum also knows the great effect from school organization. Under the influence of entrance exams, art course becomes unimportant.but object experiencing,teaching through entertainment, and enquiring in art museum situation provide broad space. Therefore, how to carry out art education in art museum is one of the topics for study, which gets great attention from both museum and school.This paper, under reference of arts and pedagogy, conducts a study on Museum-School combined art education in Shanghai. It takes primary and secondary students and teachers as the main object of study, use empirical research methods, and seek to proceed with the research work from both theory and practice aspects. The whole paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is literature review of Museum-School combined art education at home and abroad. Then it compares the museum education in different countries, concludes the methods and specialties of domestic and foreign museum education, and find out experience and enlightenment for Shanghai. The second chapter takes the Shanghai Museum, the Shanghai Art Museum, the Himalayas Art Museum as examples, explains and investigates the status of art education there. Meanwhile, it investigates the cooperation between the Youth Activity Center and the art museum. The last chapter describes the problems existing in Museum-School combined art education, puts forward countermeasures, and designs art activities.The innovation of this paper is, firstly, separately investigate and analyze teachers, educators, and students, and try to deeply analyze the status of art museum education in Shanghai; secondly, based on different types of art museum education cases, explore diverse and effective methods of art education activities.
