Beginning from the school chorus, Songs became as a part of musical life among Chinese people, with a form of collective singing up as well as high-spirited mood, simple melody and content, Songs with patriotism spirit turn into a the best way of for expressing the passion for national salvation, encouraging revolutionary spirit, and promoting democratic ideals for general population. Therefore Songs have become not only a general sense of course, but have also a widely welcomed art form. Since then, the rising of singing for national salvation movement and War of Resistance has laid the songs as an essential position in Chinese people's musical life, and after the founding of PRC, mass songs showed a thriving scene. Even today, the songs are still occupying a pivotal position in Chinese people's musical life.All this is because, in early Chinese school music education, which defined as "Music class is equal to singing lessons." Its source is to use the form of "singing" to express the connotation of music courses. And even today's music education in ordinary schools is still affected by this theory. Standing in the eyes of modern people, songs is totally important. For us the future musical educator, teaching material in primary and secondary schools is a major carrier for music education as well as the teaching activities is the key to compulsory teaching. The writer will base on the point of proportion of songs in teaching material in ordinary music school education to explore its position in the eyes of the Chinese people. In the classroom teaching, teaching materials have always played an important role. With the new round of experimental teaching materials for primary and secondary school,research on this subject has thus become the hot topic.
