Starting from 1990s, the plasma protein therapeutics industry, being an important industrial type of the biopharmaceutical field, has stepped into a rapid development period in our country. Many producers of plasma-derived products gained noticeable profit. 5 years ago, these enterprises begun to meet their hard time because of the keen competition. DF Corporation, a new enterprise in this industry, which expects to survive and develop in this circumstance must make correct analysis about the environment and the enterprise itself, and formulate proper corporate strategy. This thesis makes some research work on this field, and it is hoped to offer some references to the corporation.There are four parts in the dissertation. The first part outlines the background of the plasma protein therapeutics industry. The secondintroduces the theoretical foundation for the strategic analysis-the Industrial Organizational Structure Theory and the Enterprises Resource Theory. This part builds a frame to make the strategic analysis by using these two kinds of enterprises strategy theories. The third part analyses the competitive environment as well as the enterprise resource and competence for DF Corporation after giving the mission statement. In the last part, it chooses the cost leadership strategy as the base of corporate strategy for DF Corporation and makes some suggestion on its development.The thesis tries to provide some useful information for the formulation of DF Corporation's corporate strategy. In addition, it is expected to offer references to other therapeutic companies. Nevertheless, all the points of view in the paper need to be perfected with development of the plasma protein therapeutics industry.
