It was about 20 years ago when ERP/MRPâ…¡ came to China. The ERP industry is developing rapidly, the number of the buyer is increasing, at the same time more and more software manufacturers begin to provide ERP software.In China, there are several hundreds of software manufacturers that provide ERP, but most of them are on a small scale. What is the situation of these companies? What strategies should they take? We should pay more attention to these problems. The A company is a representative in which the author had worked for one year. In this paper the author will analysis the strategy of the company.Firstly the paper introduces to us the conception and the history of the ERP, then describe the status of the ERP industry. The paper points out the trend of the ERP production and depicts the marketing of the ERP in China.Secondly the paper introduces to us the company, such as the history and state, product, market and service, and find out the reasons that the company is in hot water. The paper use some models of strategic model, such as PEST, SWOT and Value Chains to analysis its surroundings, and find out the opportunities and threats that the company is encountered, the paper also shows the strengths and weaknesses of the company.Next, the paper makes some suggestions on the choice and development of the strategy, include strategic choice, strategic position, methods and directions of strategic development.Lastly, the paper makes some suggestions on the strategy implementation, such as organizations design and the use of the BSC.The author wish the paper can offer some help for the small-scale ERP company in strategic management.
