The Economy Environment Analysis Of Xiamen Developing Modern Logistics Industry

Xiamen, in Fujian province, is located in southeast China, where has been one of the first four special economic zones of our country. Since the New China was established, it has set up a complete system of industry and commerce throughout more then 40 years' development. Especially after our country beginning Reform and Open Policy, it has made much progress in its economy. Now, Xiamen has become a beautiful modern city, which has market economic system, good development in public construction, electron, machinery, chemical, instrument, textile, building material, financial and communication service. The people in the city are living a happy life.In the past years, Xiamen has paid much attention in its basic construction. The local government invests a large amount of money in transportation and communication industry and it has built a net which connect with the cities in the whole country and even all over the world. At the same time, other industries of the city have also arrived on a higher level. All these make it possible for Xiamen city to modernize its economy. These also create a basis for the city to develop its logistics industry. This article is based on the research topic " The investigation of the economic environment of developing logistics industry in Xiamen" from Xiamen city government, which is been in charge of by my tutor--professor FuxinpingBased on the theory of economics and logistics, the article tries to analyze the economic environment of Xiamen, work out its advantages and disadvantages and give some pieces of advice. In the article, it first illustrates the theory of economics and logistics, introduces the development history of logistics in our country and other countries, states that logistics is a new way for a city's development and sets out the demands for a city to develop logistics industry. Second, the article introduces the whole economy system and some industries relevant to logistics of Xiamen in details by using many data andmaterials. In the last, it discusses the advantages and disadvantages for Xiamencity to develop its logistics industry and give some advice.
