This text introduced the realistic circumstance of New-hope company as well as its three subsidiaries and the puzzles because of lacking clear and definite strategy positioning with the form of case study, through case analysis,the text demonstrated the strategy position of each subsidiary and made sured the evolutive direction of New-hope company.New-hope company was founded by executive means. DaQing Petrolium Administrative Bureau and its second-class units successively established Cable company, Cement company and Software company, and then, coming from a certain demand, they passed the state-owned sharehold of these companies to New-hope company by executive order. In fact New-hope company is a company by making-up, each environment is different, and each working condition is different too, so is the everyone's competition ability and growth tendency. How to conformity the limited resources by establishing strategy, how to proceed inner adjustment by the principle of capital efficiency, and how to realize the company's whole value by pursuing the rational market value of each subsidiary, those are the biggest perplexity New-hope company faced as a parent company.Considering the superority and inferior situation contrasting to the opportunity and threaten, by using SWOT and other analysis methods, the article pointed out which realm New-hope company should enter and which should withdraw, as well as which business unit should enhance,maintain and weaken. Based on these facts, it defmitude the New-hope company's strategy orientation: keeping absolute control to Cable company, keeping opposite control to Software company, quiting Cenment company; Cable company indraughts strategy investor, realizing product,market and capital's fast expansion, finally becoming a leader in cable field; Software company transfers its wroking emphases, and becoming influential local software house dedicating to petroleum geology, Cenment company is sold, and takes back money for relevant uses; through capital operation, by three to five year's effort, New-hope company become a industrial-type holding company which dominating in electrical wire and cable yield and simultaneously set foot in information industry.
