The evaluation of managers is of great imPortance and difficulty in the administrationof human resources in a corporation. Although a lot of methods have been developed forthis problem, there exist some common shortcomings concerning the evaluating accuracy, the objective attitude and the disinterested manner. Based on the theory of the multi-levelfuzZy gray comprehensive evaluation, this thesis established a comprehensive evaluationcriteria set. Moreover, to illustrate and test the validity of the aPproach, real data aboutsenior managers in a corporaion is analyzed by using the model and aPproach establishedin this thesis. The main contribution of this thesis includes following aspects.l. The evaluation problem is decomposed to a hierarchical architecture by using basicprinciples in the analytic hierarchy process. The theory about finite homogenous Markovchains is incorporated to evaluate the rationality of the criteria. Based on these theoriesand methods, the author put forward the concept of "evaluator level" fOr the request ofaccuracy and justice for evaluators.2. Theory of the gray analytic hierarhy process is incorporated and developed, a newjudging method that is based on grouP members is adopted to determine various factors inthe evaluating criteria set and the weighs of each evaluator level.3. The method of normal distribution sample detection and abnormal data eliminatingmethod fOr normal distribution samples are incorporated to deal with the evaluation data.4. A multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is brought forward to addressthe probIem of multipIe evaluating elements srnthesis and multiple evaluators sguthesisby incorporating fhaZy sets theory and single level fuzzy evaluation model5. A multi-level gray comprehensive evaluation model is brought forward to addressthe problem of great effects of various factors on evaluators by incorporating basic theoryof gray system and gray classification.6. Based on the multi-level fhazy comprehensive evaluation model and themulti-level gray comprehensive evaluation model, the multi-level fuzZy graycomPrehensive evaluation model is brought forward. So the fuzzy attribute of variousevaluation criteria and the gray feature of evaluation information can be successfully dealwith. Calculation and analysis on real data show strong evidence that the result by usingmulti-level fuzZy gray comPrehensive evaluation model is more reIiable and persuasive. In summny, the main contributions of this thesis are of some theoretical value andgreat practical significance in the wildly existing problem of evaluation managers incorporations and also ready fOr extending to other evaluation related fields.
