On Retailer-leading Supply Chain Management

The paper is intended to study on the supplier-retailer partnership based retailer-leading supply chain management. It consists of four parts. The first part is an introduction to supply chain and supply chain management. The paper points out that there are three kinds of supply chain management style. They are retailer-leading supply chain management, Manufacturing-leading management and intermediary-leading management. The second part analyses the change of the retailer's position in supply chain and presents the condition under which the retailer-leading supply chain management is suitable. In this section, the paper emphasizes the match between the choice and supply chain and the organization of retailer. The third part is the most important section of the paper. In this section, the retailer-leading supply chain management is described in three levels: philosophy level, strategy level and tactic level. The third part is the last section, but not the least. In this section, the paper analysis the obstacle of carrying out the retailer-leading supply chain management and presents the means to settle them.
