The Construction Of Enterprise Competitive Intelligence System Under Network-based Environment

Today, information is regarded as a fundamental productive element together with capital, technology and talents. More and more attentions have been paid to Competitive Intelligence (CI) all over the world, especially in the enterprises. Many international large-scale enterprises attached importance to formulating the CI strategies and established Competitive Intelligence System (CIS) to keep superiority over the competitors. With the development of technologies of computer, network and database, it becomes more and more important to enterprises how to take advantage of CI under this background.This article discussed the influences of CIS on the development of enterprises. Taking into account the facts of our country, this article expounded the conceptions and practicable projects of construction of enterprise CIS under the networked environment. This article comprised three sections. The first section is an introduction where author explained the background, the motive, the research methods used in this article and the trends of foreign CIS. In the second part that is the kernel of this thesis, at first, author discussed the functions, the principle of construction, and the frame of CIS, that is Internet, Intranet, and Extranet. Then, this article put emphasis on analyzing the information construction, design and realization of some parts of CIS under the network-based environment. Finally, the third section discussed the managerial issues of security in CIS and addressed some new ideas. This article expounded advanced technologies and practicable projects based on plentiful literature, using cases study and other research methods. It has valuable reference to the construction and management of enterprise CIS.
