Study On The Sustainable Development Of Harbin City

Peace and development are the two subjects of the world. Since the twentieth century, there has been new meaning for the word"development"-- sustainable development. It means there are equalauthorities between offspring and contemporary and in contemporary themselves. City is the symbol of human civilization and social advance, and it also is the space carrier of productivity. So our country and the world can't achieve sustainable development, until the city achieves urban sustainable development. Harbin city is the capital of Heilongjiang Province, and is a center city of the northeast of China. Also she is one of the vice-province cities. And Harbin's sustainable development will have deeply significance for northeast of China and the whole country.After introducing the present condition of connected theory, this paper detailed the definitions and connected contents of city, sustainable development and urban sustainable development. And this will make a solid basis for the next. Under the principles of scientific, all-round, level, comparative and operational, this paper built a guideline system of urban sustainable development, and used it with AHP to analyze and evaluate the degree of urban sustainable development. Then, it introduced the economy, society and environment of Harbin. At the same time, it compared with the other eight cities, and found out the questions in urban development of Harbin. At last, it suggested how to achieve sustainable development of Harbin from government management, economy, society and environment.There will be a long way for Harbin to achieve sustainable development. It needs all the citizens' efforts.
