It is not decorous to status of Sichuan.For the purpose of fast development, Sichuan should take advantage of provincial capital-Chengdu to pull regional economy, and take medium-sized cites into account. Besides development of medium-sized cites can ameliorate the system of Sichuan cities and speed up regional economy.Mianyang and Deyang are the fastest developing cities in Sichuan province. Leshan, Panzhihua, Guangyuan developed fast in 2000. These five medium-sized cities are hopeful to form a large industry area., and become most powerful development poles in the west of China.Finaly the author point out medium-sized cites are very important middle tache in city system and play an important role in regional economy. In addition, medium-sized cites can boost country and mini-cities area.
