Study On The Regional Whole Competitiveness Of Yangtze River Delta

The regional competitiveness is a new field, which is studied on Regional economy and management, and is at the beginning stage. The regional whole competitiveness can further embodiment the system characteristic of economic region than the regional competitiveness in the developing situation at present. The concept of regional whole competitiveness is that the capabilities of resource optimize location for economic region in certain time as a whole than other economic regions during the courses of competitive and developing.The driving roll of economic regions to economy is remarkable. Yangtze River Delta is one of the areas whose economic and social development level is the highest in our country, so this thesis choices its regional whole competitiveness as study object, and gives the exaltation, which has positive and actual meaning for the area to play the role to Chinese economy developmentAt first, this thesis studies the correlative theory system about whole competitiveness, providing credible theory gist for study on regional whole competitiveness of Yangtze River Delta. Then, on the basis of taking reference from the existed study and combining the reality of area and the facility of collecting and processing data and the selection of calculation method, this thesis selects and constructs a new scientific set of index system judging the regional whole competitiveness, and looks up all the relative data of 2002 according to the system, and carries on factor analyses to the data of index system through the soft ware of SPSS, and gests the scores and compositor of regional whole competitiveness for Chinese three core areas at present. Thirdly this thesis simply analyzes the advantage and disadvantage of Yangtze River Delta, trying to find the advantage and disadvantage now existing in this area. Finally, it brings forward the countermeasure and suggestion for upgrading the whole competitiveness of Yangtze River Delta.
