| Sustainable development experiment zones become a great strategy of national development with the enactment and execution of China 21st Century Agenda, therefore, sustainable development experiment zones are regarded as important places of sustainable development strategy. As a result, it is very significant to explore the content about sustainable development experiment zones.First, this thesis analyses the necessity and particularity of setting up sustainable development experiment zones, and then study their operation principle, function and effect, what's more, this paper introduces the present situation about sustainable development experiment zones in China.In order to evaluate the development level of sustainable development experiment zones, we must establish one reasonable evaluation index system, but because current study in this field is premature, there is no generally accepted evaluation index system, so after careful consideration and comparison in terms of predecessors' experience, this paper chooses and then establishs one suitable evaluation index system and makes some explanation about this.On account of some reasons, variables of evaluation index system sometimes are relevant. This thesis reduces its bad influence with the help of the method of principal component analysis, which is introduced detailedly by how to use it step by step. Another important role of sustainable development experiment zones is to set an example for other zones, this paper confirms this conclusion by Hamming Distance, we can see the demonstration effect clearly through the Hamming Distance between sustainable development experiment zones and non- sustainable development experiment zones and Hamming Distance of every consecutive year of non- sustainable development experiment zones.This paper chooses eight sustainable development experiment zones and one non- sustainable development experiment zone and use the method mentioned above, calculate and finally find a result.
